Lakeland Wildlife

Local inhabitants from the Lakeland Regions in extreme western Kentucky and Tennessee. Reelfoot Lake, near the Mississippi in Tennessee was formed after enormous earthquakes between 1811 and 1812.  Kentucky and Barkley Lakes begin in Western Kentucky and extend south into Tennessee.  They are man-made reservoirs created in the 1960s.  Both provide conditions ideal for large and diverse wildlife populations.
